Paper.li is a reliable resource in my personal learning toolbox. Each day, as I process in, I review my Paper.li subscriptions for new and interesting articles.

Some of these are daily papers and others are weekly. While I specifically created a half dozen of these newspapers, many others I located by doing a search of Paper.li. These newspapers keep me informed of the latest developments in a specific discipline. As a result, I am constantly learning and staying current.
I will explain how to find a paper.li and subscribe as well as create your own.
Finding Paper.li newspapers
You can find Paper.li newspapers on countless topics with more being created each day. To subscribe to a Paper.li newspaper, follow these steps:
- Go to http://paper.li/
- Click on the menu in the upper left corner.
- Select the Newsstand option.
- Conduct a search in the Find papers or people field.
- Click on a paper from the results.
- Subscribe to the paper using the form provided.
You should take time to become familiar with content of a newspaper before subscribing to it. Ensure it meets your needs.
Creating a Paper.li newspaper
There may be times when you cannot find a Paper.li newsletter that meets your needs or you wish to create one to address a specific purpose such as building one for a specific class or creating one based on a classroom Twitter hashtag. In these cases, you will need to build a Paper.li newspaper. Here are the steps:
Before you can create a Paper.li newspaper, you must have a Paper.li account. A Paper.li account is based on your Twitter or Facebook account. You will be asked for that account as you attempt to sign in to Paper.li.
- Sign in to http://paper.li/
- Click on the menu in the upper left corner.
- Click on the Create Paper button.
- Enter your paper’s title, then click on the Next button.
- Enter either a keyword, #tag, or topic of interest; a twitter name or list; or an RSS feed in the search field provided.
- Choose resources that you want to be included in your newspaper by clicking on the “+” sign next to each item. You can expand lists such as Twitter, RSS feeds, Facebook, Google+, and YouTube.
- When done, click on the Create my paper button.
