Blended Learning is when a portion of a traditional face-to-face course is replaced with an online component. A blended or hybrid course must be 30-70% mixed to meet the criteria. According to U.S. Department of Education’s report, “Evaluation of Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning: A Meta-Analysis and Review of Online Learning Studies”, students in a blended environment out perform those in an online or traditional only class.
